Purpose:
To become a yearly "signature culinary and life-style event" for the Ward 2 area, which includes Summerlin and the growing southwest part of the valley; to provide a fun and upscale outing for individuals and families on what many consider the kick off to summer; to help promote and introduce people to the cuisine of some of the best local restaurants; and to become a festival that grows each year in the areas of "fashion, home and beauty.”

Activities are to include:
Sample delicious cuisine from 12 of the top restaurants in Summerlin and the southwest part of Vegas (restaurants committed at press time are Rosemary's, Z' Tejas Grill, Roy's, Bertolini's on West Sahara, Malibu Chan's, Memphis Championship Barbecue, Bella Luna, Elavie, Rampart Casino and Cousin Carlino's City Bistro); try free samples of fine wines paired with gourmet cheeses in the Wine and Cheese Cave; enjoy beer, micro brews and margaritas; a martini bar featuring the hottest new designer drinks will be set up beginning at 5pm; in the Lifestyle/Cooking Pavilion sponsored by The Great Indoors, you can watch top local chefs, such as Alessandro Stratta of the Mobil 5-star award winning Renoir, Michael Jordan of Rosemary's and 3-time World Grand Champion Barbecuer Mike Mills perform live cooking demonstrations; enjoy an eclectic mix of local musical acts during the day, followed by "A Flock of Seagulls" and then the awesome party band "The Romantics" in the evening; in the "Fashion Pavilion," there will be free make up and hair styling consultation compliments of Diva Studios and exciting fashion shows featuring the latest styles in women's and men's sportswear from Stash Clothing Stores, Talulah G and Neiman Marcus, plus swimsuits from Bikinga of Brazil; children will enjoy free food in the Port of Sub's "Tiny Taster's" area, with continuous entertainment for the kids provided by the City; all this amidst a beautiful outdoor park setting with an amphitheater and play equipment.

Cost:
Only $8 for admission ( $1 off with a non perishable food item donated to the Community Food Bank); Children under 12 free; attendees buy "samples" or "tastes" of food for $1-4; drinks range from $1-5.
