In response to customer demand, Fortunes Restaurant is the Rio's contribution to Las Vegas fine Chinese dining.   With elegant surroundings complimented with attentive service, Asian guests are provided with the service and cuisine of their homeland, while non-Asians are introduced to a dining experience of world-class Asian cuisine and service.

Entrance to Fortunes is by way of a single "private" elevator to the second level near the high limit gaming area. This opulent restaurant seats 90 guests in one main and three private dining rooms.

Fortunes design brings ancient Asian traditions to mind including the art of Feng Shut (placing items to bring good fortune) while providing comfort and respect to all patrons.

The walls of the impressive entry/hallway and dining room are adorned with priceless Chinese art and artifacts of the Tang and Han Dynasties and the Quianlong period.  The opulence is further accented with light to medium tone wood, elegant fabric, and several "private" alcoves to facilitate larger parties.

Wait staffs of four, under the guidance of highly trained management, provide impeccable service.  Hot finger towels are furnished before and after dinner (an added touch that prevails in a fine dining experience).  All meals are presented from rolling carts and are subject to patron approval before being served.

Specializing in Hong Kong-style Cantonese cuisine with a variety of traditional selections and various delicacies, the Fortunes' goal is to appeal to the Asian guests and to Westerners possessing adventurous palates. Menus selections include traditional poultry, pork, beef, vegetable, noodle and rice entrees at moderate prices ($9.00 to $17.00). Specialties include abalone, shark fin soup, and live seafood with prices at a higher level ($60.00 and up).  Fish selections (average $25.00), chicken entrees (average 25.00) and Peking Duck (18.00) round out the menu.  An excellent wine list is available to meet any dining budget and is served by the glass or bottle.
